Wounded Warrior Benefit Shoot

In 2009 VNSP decided to put on a benefit shoot and chose to support the brave men and women that protect our great country.

In the first two years, we worked with and for the Wounded Warrior Project. When we started to advertise and promote our event the response was overwhelming. The inaugural year was bigger than we ever imagined!

Word spread quickly that this was the best local shooting event. Come 2010, instead of VNSP looking for help and donations, people from all over contacted us to help. Again in 2011, the event continued to grow and be one of the best around.

Our efforts continue to support our veterans in need of a helping hand although we have directed our efforts to more local organizations. In 2012 proceeds were used to help fund the therapy pool at Fort Drum, which is of great aid to returning soldiers with rehabilitation needs.

This project has been made possible solely by donations. Vernon National Shooting Preserve was fortunate enough to visit the site, and was awarded a plaque in recognition for its support.

In 2014 the proceeds of this event went to the Rome Veterans Center to help in the completion of their building improvements and open this Center to assist local vets.

The Wounded Warrior Benefit Shoot typically takes place each year on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. We invite everyone to participate in this great event.

The 2015 Shoot will be held on Sunday, May 24th. Register now.
