Vernon National has a full service gun shop with new & used firearms for sale. Gun fitting and gunsmithing services are available. AND – try before you buy- access to range to try the guns you are shopping for!
Vernon National Shooting Preserve is located on 500 acres in the rolling hills of the central New York town of Vernon Center. The family owned and operated facility is open to the public and its members and is home to open range, stocked pheasant hunting; a fully automated 16 station fully automated sporting clays course; a skeet field; fully lit trap field; 600 yard rifle range and covered pistol range, as well as a spacious clubhouse and banquet area.
Our central location is only miles from great amenities and entertainment including Turning Stone Casino and Vernon Downs. Minutes from Hamilton, Clinton and Rome, quick trip from Syracuse, Utica, Herkimer Valley areas, easy access to NYS thruway.

Vernon National Shooting Preserve is proud to present the area’s only Exclusive Memberships with unlimited access. Membership allows you to come and go as you please on any day of the week*. It doesn’t matter if we are open or not. Enjoy our facilities at your convenience.

Meet Our Team
This old family farm has been in the Acee family for over 20 years where they operated a dairy and crop business. The Acee family still owns and runs Vernon National. Whatever they can do to help, make it better, or enhance your hunt, shoot, lesson, or meeting– all you need do is ask.
We held a corporate event for our leadership team here. The team at Vernon National Shooting Preserve was very friendly and understanding of our various skill levels. We had an absolute blast competing with each other on the 16 hole course and rounding out the day with a delicious barbecue. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to go again!
