Trap Shooting

Our trap field at Vernon National Shooting Preserve is built for both serious competition and enjoyable practice. Designed as a true regulation trap field, it features quality concrete shooting pads, beautiful stonework, and a fully enclosed scorer’s booth for comfort and convenience.

The field is fully lighted for evening and night shooting, allowing shooters to extend the fun well after sunset. We’re also excited to announce that black light shooting is coming soon, bringing a whole new experience to the range. Whether you’re sharpening your skills or just enjoying a night out with friends, our trap field delivers a first-class shooting environment.

Wobble Deck

The Wobble Deck at Vernon National Shooting Preserve offers a fun and relaxed shooting experience with beautiful views overlooking the ponds. Perfect for warming up before hitting the sporting clays courses, the Wobble Deck provides fast-moving and unpredictable target presentations that help shooters sharpen their reflexes and timing.

It’s also an excellent place for beginners to learn the fundamentals of shotgun shooting in a comfortable setting. Whether you’re introducing someone new to the sport, tuning up before competition, or just looking to break a few targets with friends, the Wobble Deck is a favorite stop at the preserve.
