arcy Nolan is a dedicated partner at Vernon National Shooting Preserve, where she and Ron Acee oversee a multifaceted operation that includes a pheasant preserve, sporting clays course, trap, pistol and rifle ranges, and a full retail gun shop. After a distinguished 25-year career in corporate finance, business development, and fundraising, Darcy made a bold transition to focus her efforts on their thriving business.
A lifelong resident of Central New York, Darcy hails from a farm family and has always embraced the outdoors. Her early years were spent riding and showing horses, hunting, and working on the family farm. Today, she continues to pursue her passion for the outdoors through shooting sports, golf, and hunting with her beloved Labrador, Lucy.
At Vernon National Shooting Preserve, Darcy’s role encompasses managing memberships, coordinating corporate events, and spearheading marketing efforts for both the Preserve and the gun shop. Her commitment to the sport is evident in her efforts to promote shooting among diverse groups, including corporate clients, families, student athletes, and women. Darcy is particularly proud of her initiatives to support women in shooting sports, from hosting women’s and youth days to organizing ladies’ gun demo events, reflecting her dedication to expanding the reach and inclusivity of the sport.
