A Continental-Style Pheasant Tower Shoot Experience

Continental-style pheasant tower shoots are inspired by a long-standing European shooting tradition. Rather than walking through fields in pursuit of birds, participants are positioned at shooting stations surrounding an elevated release tower, creating a fast-paced and social shooting experience.

At Vernon National, shooters are positioned around a 30-foot tower surrounded by wooded terrain and open fields. Pheasants are released individually, creating challenging shots and exciting opportunities from different angles.

Tower shoots are ideal for experienced sportsmen, groups of friends, corporate entertainment, and anyone interested in a distinctive alternative to a traditional pheasant hunt.

How a Pheasant Tower Shoot Works

Vernon National’s tower shoot is designed to provide fast action, multiple shooting opportunities, and a different perspective as participants move around the tower.

1. Take Your Station

Hunters are assigned to one of ten shooting stations positioned around the elevated tower. Up to three participants can occupy a station, with a maximum of two shooting simultaneously.

2. Birds Are Released

Pheasants are released individually from the elevated tower, creating a variety of challenging shooting opportunities as birds fly over the surrounding stations.

3. Rotate Positions

Shooting stations rotate throughout the event, giving participants opportunities to experience different angles and shooting positions.

4. Retrieve & Relax

Guides and retrieving dogs assist throughout the shoot. Afterward, gather at the lodge for food, refreshments, and time with fellow participants.
